Cas-en-Bas is a reef-protected bay on the far northeast coast with excellent windsurfing conditions and a beach bar. You get there by hiking (one hour) or four-wheel drive vehicle (45 minutes) along the potholed road from Gros Islet. The beach is quiet and shaded by palms, but the water can be dangerous.
